Mint (Spearmint) originated in Asia and Mediterranean region, but today the United States produces about 70% of the world’s mint. Its leaves can range in color from dark green to a more purple color.

Amazingly, mint has been found in Egyptian tombs that date back as far as 1000 B.C.

Mint has a refreshingly sweet and cooling flavor. It can be used to make teas, beverages, salads, potatoes, veggies and lamb.
